Tuesday 5th August, Horse Racing Tips, The Daily Trio
Two outta three ain’t bad. That was the story yesterday as Passenger and Tivo both got the job done. Niyla Breeze ran a shocker compared to her debut run and I won’t be in a rush to back her again anytime soon.
Tuesday’s action takes place at Ffos Las, Catterick, Newbury, and Roscommon. I will be watching the evening meeting at Newbury with interest as we could see a very good newcomer in the 5:30, but it’s not a card I’ll be having a bet at.
Conjecture really should be winning the 2:45 at Ffos Las and whilst it’s odds against at the time of writing this article (early hours), I wouldn’t be surprised to see it at a shade of odds-on at post time. If you can get best odds guaranteed early then I’d suggest that is a good move. Conjecture has finished second on its last three starts, but I see nothing wrong with the attitude and expect to see the horse win today.
Similar comments apply to Reverberate in the 2:05 at Catterick. This twice raced colt by Night of Thunder stands out on form and is another that is odds against at the time of writing but could be well backed through the day. I expect progression from his encouraging third place at Ayr last time and he should go close.
Willie Mullins takes the wraps off an interesting newcomer in Boo Radley, 8:30 at Roscommon. This Masked Marvel gelding is closely related to a few half decent jumps horses and his trainer is banging in the bumper winners as always. This horse will stay much further than this minimum trip on pedigree (get him in your tracker now for a maiden hurdle over 2m5f next season) but class could see him make a winning racecourse debut.
