Free Daily Tips: 20th February

There are some cracking races today, with the rearranged card at Punchestown being the highlight.

Punchestown

1:25 Waterford Whispers. The form pick, last seen in a grade 1. Remains open to improvement as a chaser.

1:55 Loughglynn. The stable second string but has shown enough to take a race like this and I think has more scope as a chaser than High Class Hero.

2:25 Cleatus Poolaw. Significantly up in trip and is a strong fancy at a nice price. Looks favourably treated at the weights.

2:55 C’est Ta Chance. The race favourite William Munny may be more of a reputation horse than one who delivers on the track. C’est Ta Chance‘s Navan run last time was a cracker and he will be tough to beat.

3:25 Jade De Grugy. Winning machine who was suited by the return to 2½m when winning a Grade 1 mares’ novice at Fairyhouse on her final start. Has to give weight all round here but should be capable.

3:55 Dr Eggman. It’s unbelievable that this horse is still a maiden hurdler. Hopefully he won’t be after today. He sets a very high standard and should still have plenty of room for improvement himself.

4:25 Apples In Winter. His handicap run at this course a few weeks back wasn’t a bad run and he can go well at a price.

5:00 Gameofinches. It is a game of inches alright, we have all lost a photo finish by that margin! Paddy Mullins may not have that problem here though as this horse would win by many lengths.

Huntingdon

1:45 Wotter Trotter. Drops in grade after running in a grade 3 last time following a promising debut.

2:15 Thank You Blue. Has shaped with promise over fences despite falling last time out. Top weight here but carries the weight for a reason.

2:45 Playtogetaway. Good win at Southwell and given a break since. Up in trip in return.

3:15 Diamonds Galore. Hurdle debut and goes up in trip which should help. I’ll be disappointed if she doesn’t kick in from here average bumper runs.

3:45 Far Away West. Was very well backed on stable debut last time but ran into an improver. Can get the money back with victory here.

4:15 Teddy Blue. Temperamental but the beat horse in this race. Solid fifth over fences in chasing debut last time.

4:45 Love True. Was going well when a late faller last time and can make amends with a clean round of jumping.

Lingfield

2:05 Rula Bula. Pulled up last time which it’s a concern but could rout these if running near his best.

2:35 Summer In Milan. Fair over hurdle and goes over fences for the first time which should suit better.

3:05 Blue Bellamy. Showed promise in bumpers and make a good hurdles debut last time out. Has looked like a stayer to me and goes up in trip slightly.

3:35 Bolintlea. The handicapper has been kind and she should finish here race of a bit better in a small field.

4:05 Tropical Speed. Should kick on from stable debut last time. Weak race.

4:35 King Of Brazil. Poor this season but win around this time last year. Reverts to fences from a run over hurdles last time and has a great chance here.

5:05 Moonshine Man. Double Oban well be going to beat but this lad drops in class and could set a strong pace.

Newcastle

4:55 Hot Team. A course and distance winner dropping in grade.

5:30 Show Me Show Me. Course and distance winner dropping back to it’s best trip after finishing weakly last time over futher.

6:00 Sovereign Class. Needs this run for a handicap make but isn’t out of things in a weak race.

6:30 Dark Kestrel. Fair run over C&D last time, the excellent apprentice Warren Fentiman takes for 7lb.

7:00 Urban Dandy. 26 run since has last win but has a fantastic chance of finally getting his head in from again. Dougie Costello takes the ride.

7:30 Streak Lightning. Three time C&D winner. Strong chance if a voiding traffic problems with the hold up style.

8:00 Doon The Glen. 21 race maiden who is over priced here.

8:30 Conquest Of Power. Win four days ago and goes a gain under a penalty. Should be a much shorter price than be is.

Happy punting
