Free Daily Tips: 24th February

It’s a pretty good Monday for the racing considering the time of year. I’m quietly confident about our chances.

Ayr

2:25 Ballydisco. A maiden over fences but has a chance in an open race.

2:55 Jet Far. Hasn’t looked good so far but must be better than he has shown. A massive price today.

3:25 Dance Thief. Very likely to go in again despite a 7lb rise, has a weight advantage over the odds-on shot Doyen Du Bar.

4:00 Instinct D’ainay. Hasn’t been asked for much in his two races so far but has scope for plenty of improvement.

4:35 Park Annonciade. Stuart Crawford has a few with chances here today and this horse should go close.

5:10 Oh Janey. Was a selection for me last week but was a non runner, will make her debut here instead. Fantastic chance.

Plumpton

1:40 Under The Sun. Nap Hand should win based on form but I have doubts about the Alan King yard form so this fella is the selection instead.

2:12 Gorcombe Moonshine. I’m not sure the race that King Ulanda won was very good, so will be taking him on with Gorcombe Moonshine who has ran well both starts this season.

2:45 Morfee. One of two in the race for Seamus Mullins and has good form at this track which counts for a lot.

3:15 Hititi. Was second in this race last year but has a strong chance to go one better.

3:47 Chancellorstown. Ran well on his last visit here, losing by a nose. Hasn’t been so good elsewhere since but obviously likes Plumpton.

4:22 Koenigsstern. A solid chance of beating the favourite Demoiselle Kap who has been hammered with an 11lb rise in the weights.

4:52 Just A Memory. Has the scope to be a big improver now pitched into handicaps.

Punchestown

1:30 Adela Icon. A strong fancy. This lightly raced sort looks sure to be involved in the finish on hurdles debut.

2:00 Runcok. Switches quickly to hurdles after a good third run in bumpers last time. He isn’t the favourite at the time of writing, that honour goes to Come On The Lads, but I like Runcok’s chances of beating him.

2:35 Toad Hall. Evidently had problems, but evidently has ability to be kept in training for so long by a top yard for top connections. Not seen on a racecourse for 687 days.

3:20 Creadan Grace. Not the strongest mares maiden hurdle and Creadan Glare can go very well on racecourse debut. Kingston Hill mare. Half-sister to useful chaser Creadan Grae. The race favourite at the time of writing Affinity Rock sets a very low bar.

3:35 Rokathir. Lightly raced and unexposed type who can take this race under a very low weight.

4:10 Coffeys Forge. Not a strong race but Coffeys Forge looks the most likely winner out of a bunch of rubbish. (Sorry but true).

4:43 Mighty Soldier. Lightly raced, unexposed, course experience, ran well last time here.

5:18 Santo Sospir. Intriguing newcomer. One of two in the race for Gordon Elliott. A Motivator gelding, seemingly the pick of the stable jockeys. Powerful owner. Strong fancy.

Wolverhampton

5:00 Visibility. A six time course winner who will be a big price.

5:30 Level Up. Course and distance winner. Blinkers go back on today.

6:00 Political Power. Has the most experience and the others have a decent standard to aim at.

6:30 Rivas Rob Roy. C&D winner with the ability to bounce back from a below par run last time.

7:00 Sun Festival. 11 runs without a win but his last two efforts have been very encouraging.

7:30 She Went Whoosh. Needed her return run last time and can step forwards.

8:00 Backer Bilk. Great chance of another win for the sniper Luke Morris. Doesn’t need to improve to win, just match the form shown last time.

8:30 Gemmari. There is no such thing as a banker, especially one that is making its tapeta debut, but Gemmari looks thrown in here in the lucky last.

Happy punting,
