10th Jan: The Daily Trio

Two out of three ain’t bad, that’s the story of yesterday as we nailed a 5/2 winner and a 9/2 winner to keep growing the profit. It’s been a fantastic start to January.

Today relies on Lingfield beating the frost, there is a second inspection after the time of writing this article.

Tribal Act is by Sea The Stars, and hails from the ever powerful Godolphin outfit. He shaped on debut like he needed a trip when 5th at Kempton, getting the hang of things and flashing home when the penny dropped. This horse will win races. Today isn’t simple – our horse is second favourite to a horse of Andrew Baldings who is even money. I just think there is value in Tribal Act and the race style could help us. I expect Andrew’s horse to lead and try to make all, which could set up the race for us. Selection: Tribal Act, 12:45 Lingfield, 1 point win. NR

Thapa VC is an all weather regular and must be a delight for his owners. He is no Frankel, but he runs his race consistently and doesn’t lack a turn of foot for the grade. I’d hope he has the best turn of foot late on today at Lingfield and would be surprised if he doesn’t. Let’s hope he can flash home in time to win the race and not hit trouble in running. Selection: Thapa VC, 1:45 Lingfield, 1 point win. NR

Our last selection will also be ridden for a turn of pace late on after being held up behind the leaders. The Thames Boatman is a course and distance winner, and has actually won three races from four starts here. He obviously likes the track, it suits his fast finishing hold up style. The danger is that he doesn’t get a clear run. Selection: The Thames Boatman, 2:20 Lingfield, 1 point win. NR

Also have a 1 point treble.

Good luck!

Points? How do I bet? Simply think of a point as your preferred unit stake. If you want to bet in £10s then you would have 3x £10 wins and an £10 treble.

What is the Daily Trio strategy?

The proven betting system and recommended bet is three singles and a treble. As a rough rule of thumb: one winner = money back, two winners = double your money, three winners = jackpot!

Why does the Daily Trio strategy work?

Mav operates at roughly a 33% strike rate for winners over the year, so around one in three selections win. Assuming each winner is 3/1 on average (some are much higher) then each year we should see money back at least based on purely the single bets alone, and the profit comes from the trebles
