5th Jan – The Daily Trio

Today’s racing selections come from Ireland. The quality in England is low grade stuff compared to the fantastic card at Naas where I have a few strong fancies, including one that is surely overpriced.

It could be Fun Fun Fun in the 12:25. Henry De Bromhead is a great trainer who has both the favourite and the second favourite here in Majestic Force and Langtry Lady. Rachel Blackmore surely had the choice of the two and chose Majestic Force who looks the main challenger to our selection. Fun Fun Fun makes her chase debut today but has looked a better class than these over hurdles, if that ability translates to the larger obstacles then she could outclass the others. Paul Townsend chooses a stablemate today which is surprising really, but Patrick Mullins is a very good jockey and must fancy his chances.
Selection: Fun Fun Fun, 12:25 Naas, 1 point win. Won at 7/2

Mozzie is what price!!! Gavin Cromwell knows how to place his horses. This horse won easily at Galway in October and whilst he did run poorly at Cheltenham he went off 28/1 there and the race can be forgotten as he wasn’t given a hard time. His rating is good in the context of this race and his price here at around 9/1 is very good value. He should be joint favourite and I can’t ignore him.
Selection: The Other Mossie, 12:55 Naas, 1 point win. Won at 9/2

Light Up The Dark with a winner in the last. You never know what could be lurking in a bumper at this time of the year as plenty of subsequent superstars have made quiet debuts before going on to win at Cheltenham. Joseph O’Brien has plenty of stars, and is in cracking form over the festive period. This horse seriously interests me. So much so that I have looked to see if there is an antepost price for it in the bumper at the Cheltenham festival. There isn’t. Yet. It may not be a superstar, but on paper it could be. I’ll be backing Light Up The Dark to win the last at Naas as my nap of the day.
Selection: Light Up The Dark, 3:40 Naas, 1 point win. Won at 2/1

Also have a 1 point treble.

Happy punting.
Mav

Points? How do I bet? Simply think of a point as your preferred unit stake. If you want to bet in £10s then you would have 3x £10 wins and an £10 treble.

What is the Daily Trio strategy?

The proven betting system and recommended bet is three singles and a treble. As a rough rule of thumb: one winner = money back, two winners = double your money, three winners = jackpot!

Why does the Daily Trio strategy work?

Mav operates at roughly a 33% strike rate for winners over the year, so around one in three selections win. Assuming each winner is 3/1 on average (some are much higher) then each year we should see money back at least based on purely the single bets alone, and the profit comes from the trebles
