9th January: The Daily Trio

It’s a pretty quiet day with two meetings on the all weather. I have heard that one horse is going rather well at home, let’s see if that can translate to the track.

Forge Valley Lad seems to have only Paradoxical to beat today. Paradoxical has been in good form but was beaten easily last time out and the handicapper could now have his measure. Our selection has been knocking on the door since winning over this course and distance nearly a year ago. Selection: Forge Valley Lad, 12:28 Lingfield, 1 point win. Won at 9/2

Marinakis the person is having a good year with his Nottingham Forest football team flying high in the Premier League. Marinakis the horse has finished outside of the places on all nine career starts. He is the selection though – I must be mad. He steps back up to 1m here which will help and although he has lots to find, he is short in the betting considering his profile. That’s a sign that he isn’t a lost cause, or at least someone thinks he isn’t. Selection: Marinakis, 8:00 Chelmsford, 1 point win. Won at 5/2

Khutulun isn’t easy to say or spell that’s for sure. Her market rival The Outlaw is odds on, so it might not be easy to win with Khutulun today either. The lightly raced Mohaather filly won at this track in September and was unable to follow up at a different track shortly after. She returns from a small absence here and is unexposed at 1m. There isn’t much between odds on favourite and our horse, and ours is around 5/1 at the time of writing. Easy choice. Selection: Khutulun, 7:00 Chelmsford, 1 point win. (lost)

Also have a 1 point treble.

Happy punting

Mav

Points? How do I bet? Simply think of a point as your preferred unit stake. If you want to bet in £10s then you would have 3x £10 wins and an £10 treble.

What is the Daily Trio strategy?

The proven betting system and recommended bet is three singles and a treble. As a rough rule of thumb: one winner = money back, two winners = double your money, three winners = jackpot!

Why does the Daily Trio strategy work?

Mav operates at roughly a 33% strike rate for winners over the year, so around one in three selections win. Assuming each winner is 3/1 on average (some are much higher) then each year we should see money back at least based on purely the single bets alone, and the profit comes from the trebles
