Our Daily Trio selections for Saturday 22nd February
Kaiser Ball is a promising bumper horse set to make his racecourse debut under the very tall Tom Costello in the 5:10 at Fairyhouse. A full brother to another bumper winner Juby Ball, he was meant to make his debut a week or do ago but the meeting was cancelled. Will be a good price due to the presence of Barry Connell’s Eachtotheirowm and the Willie Mullins stablemate Arslan. Selection: Kaiser Ball, 5:10 Fairyhouse, 1 point win.
I Am Maximus needs no introduction. His National mark and weight is now set so connections can actually attempt to win a race and the 3m Bobbyjo Chase fits the bill. He has stablemate Nick Rockett to beat but his the assistance of a Paul Townend to do so. He won this race last year before a national triumph and connections will be hoping for a repeat. Selection: I Am Maximus, 3:25 Fairyhouse, 1 point win.
Hyland already look a way better Chase than hurdler and ran a great race to be second in a grade one over course and distance in Boxing Day. Steps back into calmer waters in a handicap and looks to have a fantastic chance. Looks well weighted on recent form. Selection : Hyland, 3:35 Kempton, 1 point win.
Also have a 1 point treble.
Happy punting

*Note – we aren’t selecting a horse in every race today as Mav is now out of action (hospital with his son – hopefully everything is okay but obviously his efforts are elsewhere)
