Our Daily Trio selections for Sunday 23rd February

Kaiser Ball was a great winner for us yesterday at 11/2 and is one to keep the right side of moving forward.

We had three cards to look at today – Fontwell, Hereford and Naas – as we look to land the treble to brighten up our Sunday. All the selections are from Hereford though so attention goes there!

3:10 Laughing John needed the experience when third at Newbury on debut. Will improve. Star Of Guiting finished a place ahead of Laughing John in that race but doesn’t appear to have the same potential for improvement and scope as the selection. Selection: Laughing John, 3:10 Hereford, 1 point win.

Crying Lightning looks to be ignored in the market compared to Youhadmeathello and Picture Of You in the 4:10. Youhadmeathello is a six year old who hasn’t been seen on the racecourse before so we have no idea if she is good or completely rubbish. Picture of You is a Henry De Bromhead discard so can’t have much scope for future improvement. Crying Lightning has experience with the three runs in bumpers, running in a listed event last time which is the best actual form on offer. She is my selection here at a much bigger price than the other two. Selection: Crying Lightning, 4:10 Hereford, 1 point win.

5:10 Donttellyamumjack is a half brother to six winners and the Fergal O’Brien stable does well with their bumper runners. Nearly all the field are unraced, but this one took my eye. Selection: Donttellyamumjack, 5:10 Hereford, 1 point win.

Also have a 1 point treble.

Happy punting

Points? How do I bet? Simply think of a point as your preferred unit stake. If you want to bet in £10s then you would have 3x £10 wins and a £10 treble.

What is the Daily Trio strategy?

The proven betting system and recommended bet is three singles and a treble. As a rough rule of thumb: one winner = money back, two winners = double your money, three winners = jackpot!

Why does the Daily Trio strategy work?

Mav operates at roughly a 33% strike rate for winners over the year, so around one in three selections win. Assuming each winner is 3/1 on average (some are much higher) then each year we should see money back at least based on purely the single bets alone, and the profit comes from the trebles.

This is a long term strategy that works – not a get rich quick scheme. Some tipsters claim to have a ‘20/1 banker that can’t lose’ every day, we don’t. This is maintaining a consistent strike rate from our excellent tipster and sticking to an optimised stake system, perfect for having a bet every day without losing a fortune over the year. We also don’t charge – our site is free.
