The Daily Trio: 4th April
Kopek De Mee was one of the talking horses of the Cheltenham Festival, going off at 5/2. The run was simply terrible. He can’t be that rubbish can he! I suspect that the Aintree course may be much better suited to him and he can show what all the hype was about. A price of around 13/2 is worth taking to find out. Selection: Kopek De Mee, 2:20 Aintree, 1 point win.
Salvator Mundi is my nap of the Aintree meeting. I’m convinced he has more ability than Romeo Coolio. I think he needs good ground to show his speed, which is exactly what he will get at Aintree. He was never put in the race at Cheltenham but did stay on to be a fair 5th, not given a hard time. Townend is back on board – they won the Moscow Flyer together the last time they combined. The price at the time of writing – 11/4 – I think is similar to a birthday present. Selection: Salvator Mundi, 2:55 Aintree, 1 point win.
James Du Berlais showed he can jump these fences fine here last year and I assume this has been the main plan since. I went through the race to see what no hopers I could rule out and ended up crossing off nearly the whole field! James Du Berlais won by default, he was the only one not crossed off! Selection: James Du Berlais, 4:05 Aintree, 1 point win.
Also have a 1 point treble.
Happy punting.
2025 profit: +153.69 points.
