I can’t start anything today without a word on yesterday’s sad news about Michael O’Sullivan. I’ll keep it simple – what a man, and what a jockey. Joltin N Jiving looked to have potential when second on hurdles debut at Bangor and surely will improve on that. The opposition looks thin and Brian Hughes could simply have a steering job. Selection: Joltin N Jiving, 3:20 Carlisle, 1 point win.
There was plenty to like about Beau Quali‘s three UK runs so far and he was pulling a train when falling last time out. He is certainly capable of atoning for that error by winning here today. Beau Quali looks to have Wolf Moon to beat, but despite a promising debut run I think Wolf Moon is probably one for handicaps. Selection: Beau Quali, 3:05 Southwell, 1 point win.
Gotthereintheend has shown good form so far, including when pulling clear alongside the eventual winner over course and distance last time out. A repeat of that run would see her hard to beat today. Selection: Gotthereintheend, 4:45 Southwell, 1 point win.
