Regressive 10yo who is better known as a chaser now and was just a modest third at Warwick (2m4f, good to soft) on New Year's Eve; reverts to hurdling on a tempting mark but others have more appealing profiles.

Runner-up in three bumpers for Tom Symonds in 2024 and still unexposed over hurdles, but he was unable to land a significant blow when 50-1 for handicap debut over C&D (soft) three weeks ago.

Won over hurdles in Ireland in 2021 but struggled on both outings for this stable in 2024 and can't be recommended on first start for 475 days.

Came good over hurdles at eighth attempt on seasonal debut at Warwick (2m3f, good to soft) last month; ran well behind next-time-out winner at Sedgefield (2m4f, good to soft) three weeks ago; must be considered.

0-6 over hurdles; arguably ran better than eventual 22l defeat suggests when fifth behind Jukebox Joker at Warwick (2m3f, good to soft) last month but needs a better finishing effort.

Often ungainly when under pressure but has been back in prime form this month, winning twice over 2m4f at Sedgefield (good to soft/soft); carries 7lb penalty for latter success but did it readily by 8l; can cope with this drop back in trip and needs to be taken very seriously.

Won fast-ground bumper here last season and bounced back from disappointing hurdle run when scoring over C&D (good) last month, form that was recently boosted by the runner-up; ground slower than good to soft would be new to him but he still commands respect.

Showed some ability in sole bumper but pulled up/tailed off on first two hurdle starts (2m4f/2m5f); stable has much more obvious chance with Fountains Blenhein.

Placed in fast-ground Irish point last May but pulled up in two British points towards the end of 2025 and showed only minor promise over C&D (heavy; behind Sailing By) on recent hurdle debut.

Irish point winner who began hurdling career with two very encouraging runs in the autumn, latterly when fourth at Wincanton (2m4f, soft); still has potential and might be the answer.

Placed in Chepstow bumper (good to soft) on debut in November but safely held on first two hurdling starts, more recently when fourth over C&D (heavy) a fortnight ago; improvement required.

Well down the field in two bumpers (hooded for both); can only be watched on this hurdle debut.

The odd whiff of ability in light career; left the Newland/Insole stable for 1,000gns last July and finished third in a maiden point in November on his only start since; insubstantial claims on handicap debut but his stable won a handicap last Sunday with its first hurdles runner of the season.

His best was in the spring as 3yo on Flat and there's been little to cheer in 2025 or 2026, beaten 64l when third of eight in a C&D novice (heavy) last time; making handicap hurdle debut is the straw to clutch at.

Lightly raced 7yo who bolted up on stable/chase debut at Perth (3m, good) last July; went up 24lb for that success but he continued the good work when runner-up at Uttoxeter (3m2f/3m) in his final two starts last year; returns after 168 days off but his last win was after a break and he still has potential as a chaser; interesting contender with cheekpieces added.

Improver who made it 2-3 over fences when scoring at Chepstow (3m, soft) last month; the leader fell two out in that race but this 6yo was in a clear second at the time and he eventually won by 8l in that big-field handicap; up 6lb but he's still lightly raced and should have more to offer in this sphere.

Four-time hurdle winner but he's 0-4 over fences, and he jumped left throughout and was beaten when he fell here (2m7f, heavy) two weeks ago; that was his second non-completion as a chaser and others are preferred.

Placed in two points last May; struggled at big prices in first three hurdle runs (2m-2m5f) but he showed some ability when third on recent handicap debut at Wincanton (2m6f, soft); still early days but he's 10lb out of the weights here and this is a tough starting point over fences.
