Placed in three Irish maiden hurdles (2m1f-2m5f) for Willie Mullins in the autumn but probably didn't achieve much when remote third of four on stable debut a fortnight ago (2m3f); up in trip for this handicap debut; needs that recent outing to have brought her on.

Made all to cause 25-1 surprise at Plumpton (3m1f, good) in September, after a break, but generally disappointing since; pulled up when back at Plumpton a week ago, and can't be supported with much confidence here.

Arrested her decline when placed in valuable final of this mares' series here (2m5f, good to soft; refitted cheekpieces) in January; two lesser efforts have followed and she's unreliable nowadays but she could be too good for this field if perked up by a change of headgear.

Slightly disappointing at Southwell 12 days ago and now 0-6 over fences but her close third at Newcastle (2m4f, good to soft) was a pretty good effort and she has possibilities here if stamina holds out on first venture beyond about 2m5f.

Suffered early mishap three starts ago but placed on other four outings this season, most recently when second ay Exeter (3m, good) three weeks ago; ran poorly on only previous visit to Fakenham and would appeal more on ground slower than good but still features prominently in calculations.

Came good under rules at Huntingdon (2m3f, heavy) in February, her second handicap; found one just too strong when odds-on to follow up at Market Rasen (2m2f, good to soft) last month but was given a wind op soon afterwards and now moves up in trip; probably still has potential.

Probably showed career-best form when scoring in first-time cheekpieces at Southwell (2m4f, good) last month; 7lb rise asks quite a lot of her but this C&D also suits and the headgear may prompt further improvement; big player.

Well handicapped on 2024 hurdle/chase form and shaped with a fair but more promise than eventual 40l defeat might suggest at Sedgefield (3m3f, good to soft) in February, after a long absence; ought to be better suited by the forecast faster ground here; interesting.

Well beaten at triple-digit odds in her three qualifying races (2m-2m3f) but fared much better when third of seven on recent handicap debut at Warwick (3m2f, good); that was a modest contest but she remains lightly raced.

Former pointer/hunter chaser who won Sedgefield handicap (3m2f, good to soft) for Ruth Jefferson in January and signed off for her with clear second at Wetherby (3m, good) last month; upped in trip and fitted with cheekpieces for this stable debut; likely contender.

No longer the force of old but won three chases last year (3m-3m2f) and looked back in good nick when keeping-on second at Chepstow (3m6f, good to soft) last month; still unexposed over marathon trips and Sean Bowen is booked again; respected.

Soundly beaten in February, after a layoff, but looked set to finish second before last-fence mishap at Hereford (3m1f, good) last month, and this move back up in trip will probably suit (placed over 3m3f last summer).

Won twice in a visor at Newton Abbot (3m2f, good/good to soft) last summer; untested beyond that trip and absent since respectable second of three in the autumn (without headgear, as today) but current mark is workable if he's fully tuned up.

Irish bumper winner who has finished second on two of his four hurdling starts for Olly Murphy, latterly in 18-runner Lingfield maiden (2m, soft) in January; below that form on heavy ground in February but this much quicker surface ought to suit him better; good chance.

Won on the AW last summer (1m2f) and launched hurdling career with two encouraging fourths, latterly when just over 2l behind Jamada in 18-runner Lingfield maiden (2m, soft) in January; safely held on subsequent handicap debut but still considered here, with the switch to better ground a possible source of improvement.

Won on the Flat in France in 2023 but has shown very little over hurdles in Britain this season (five attempts), including off a lowly mark on his handicap debut.

Fair Flat racer who won on Polytrack in the autumn (1m4f; RPR 78); ran poorly on latest outing five weeks ago but can be very competitive at this level if he takes to hurdling at the first attempt; usual cheekpieces replace blinkers.

Teenager who is 0-18 under rules, and has very uninspiring record in points in recent years; remote when third of four on recent seasonal debut at Higham; difficult to enthuse over.

Not seen under rules since 2022 but 4-14 in points in the meantime, including success at this track (3m, good) last month and in Higham match race ten days ago; likely contender.

Showed some fair form under rules when based in Ireland and comfortably won minor point at Paxford (2m4f, good) for new stable a week ago; not sure to be suited by this move back up in trip but still commands respect; sports refitted tongue-tie and first-time cheekpieces.

Out of form over hurdles/on the Flat in Ireland last year; caused 16-1 surprise in point at Hutton Rudby (3m, soft) last month, her third start for this stable, but was safely held on next outing; not easy to predict on chase debut.

Bumper winner (good to soft) who had contested some warm races over hurdles prior to winning a big-field maiden at Huntingdon (2m, good) last month with something to spare; Alan King has a 42% strike-rate at Hexham; leading claims under a 7lb penalty.

Course bumper winner (good to soft) who followed up on hurdle debut over C&D (good) last October; the return to Hexham and drop back in trip could suit following two heavy defeats over 2m5f/2m6f, but a couple of the other previous winners have shown stronger form.

Showed a good attitude to win on his debut in France (2m2f, very soft) last October; he's changed hands since and this half-brother to the useful Cherie d'Am looks a bright prospect; not ruled out on British debut.

Musselburgh maiden hurdle winner (2m4f, soft) who bounced back from being pulled up in a Grade 2 at Kelso when a respectable fourth of nine on handicap debut at Newbury (2m3f, good to soft) last month; it's possible this drop back in trip will be a positive and he's a key player.

0-7 in points and beaten 27l at triple-figure odds last month on his first two starts over hurdles (2m, soft/good).

Point runner-up who is with a respected stable but he hasn't shown enough across his three rules starts to suggest he'll be threatening today.

His bumper debut at Sedgefield (2m1f, soft) in December wasn't devoid of promise but he's finished down the field on both starts since, most recently on hurdle debut at Carlisle (2m1f, good to soft) three weeks ago.

Tailed off at big odds in both bumpers and pulled up when 300-1 on recent hurdle debut here (2m4f, soft); a tongue-tie goes on.

Built upon the promise of his first two bumper runs (good to soft/soft) when 7l second at Haydock (1m7f, good to soft) last month; this half-brother to the useful jumper Arvico Bleu brings potential to today's hurdle debut and he's an each-way contender.

7yo who is a longstanding maiden and it will be a surprise if he gets anywhere close to getting off the mark today.

Fifth of nine, beaten just over 10l, on debut in bumper at Kelso (2m, heavy) in February; the run gave him something to build on but he was pulled up at 150-1 in a maiden hurdle at Wetherby (2m, good) last month.

Close fourth on debut in bumper at Newcastle (2m1f, good to soft) in November and he should get back on track at some point for his good yard; however, well beaten on his last two starts, including over hurdles.

Won a maiden hurdle at Newcastle (2m1f, good to soft) last February and went close in a novice hurdle here (2m, good) next time; makes chase/handicap debut following a year off but with his trainer in phenomenal form; could have a big part to play, especially if strong in the betting.

Won the novice hurdle (2m, good) on this card 12 months ago; he needs to improve upon what he produced in two handicap hurdles in February but the return to Hexham could help and he might be suited by the switch to fences.

His best form has come on soft/heavy ground which is unlikely to prevail today and he's failed to threaten the winner when second at Ayr (2m4f, soft) on his last two starts; however, those were still positive performances and he may benefit from the drop back in trip; not discounted.

There was no return to form on his two starts this winter; arrives with plenty to prove but he's down to a dangerous mark and, if he is to stage a revival, it's likely to be here where he's posted both victories.

Front-runner who was beaten 9l when last of the three finishers at Ayr (2m, soft) in January; however, he's been dropped a handy 3lb since and is capable of better judged on last season's evidence; not written off.

Mixed form this term but when soundly beaten at Carlisle last time he was in a competitive series final; now just 2lb higher than when readily completing a double at Kelso (2m1f, good to soft) last March so can go well if back on song; tongue-tie added to cheekpieces adopted last time.

Pulled up in series final at Carlisle (2m, good to soft) three weeks ago; however, he's won twice this season (2m4f/2m5f, soft), the latest two starts ago; won on good ground last term and there can be hope that he's still okay at this sort of trip; in the mix if swiftly bouncing back.

Lightly raced 6yo who was an encouraging third of eight in a first-time visor (retained since) at Hereford (2m, good) last month on his third chase start; of interest on that performance but soundly beaten at Market Rasen (2m1f, good) eight days ago and has to leave that run well behind.

Won at Newcastle (2m, good to soft) last November on second chase start and some good runs since, most recently 12l third of 12 in series final at Carlisle (2m, good to soft); this is less competitive; high on the list.

Two wins over 2m4f here (good) last year and he's run well in third in 2m4f contests at Carlisle (good to soft) and Haydock (good) on his last two starts; has been shaping as though this drop back in trip could be a positive and he's firmly in calculations.

Won three in a row over 3m here last spring (good/good to soft); returned from an absence with encouraging sixth over hurdles at Carlisle (2m3f, good to soft) recently; however, he may well find today's trip inadequate.

Lightly raced since winning two novice hurdles for Gordon Elliott in autumn 2022; however, he's hard to fancy on what he's shown subsequently.

Poor form in bumpers and over hurdles, and his jumping wasn't great when third on recent chase debut at Sedgefield (2m, good); from out of the handicap he's 4lb higher than last time but there was some promise in that performance and he's open to further improvement if finding greater fluency.

Returned to form to cause 50-1 shock over C&D (soft; front pair clear) last month and is now 3-13 over hurdles; it's hard to predict whether she'll be in the right mood again but she won't mind if the ground dries out.

The form of her small-field maiden win in December doesn't amount to much but she bettered her low-key handicap debut when creditable fifth of 15 in valuable series final at Kelso (2m, good to soft) last month; commands respect in this easier race.

Well beaten in first two handicaps (2m4f, soft/heavy) but combination of better ground and first-time tongue-tie enabled significant improvement at Market Rasen (2m2f, good to soft) last month, where she kept on too strongly for the odds-on favourite; further progress is possible.

Won from the front at Newcastle (2m1f, good to soft; front pair clear) in February and was third under much more patient ride at Ayr (2m, soft) last month; may not want the ground to dry out here but otherwise she's likely to be on the premises again.

Out of form towards end of last year but returned from three-month break with pretty good fourth in first-time cheekpieces at Kelso (2m5f, good) 11 days ago, and it will be interesting to see whether this drop back in trip pays dividends.

Showed promise in bumpers last season but is 0-6 over hurdles this term; drops back in trip after 37l defeat at Sedgefield (2m4f, good; first-time tongue-tie) last month; considered only if lively in the betting.

0-7 over hurdles but runner-up twice at Carlisle (2m1f, soft/2m3f, good to soft) since returning from a break last month and has another big role to play here.

Not disgraced in any of her three 2m4f starts this year but has yet to be placed after eight hurdle runs; drops back in trip with cheekpieces tried here; improvement required.

Front-runner who has won his last three starts (2m7f-3m2f, good to soft/good), the latest at Carlisle nine days ago; clearly thriving and could be tough to beat for a stable that is in fantastic form.

Inconsistent this season and well beaten at Bangor a fortnight ago; however, he won off this mark at Catterick (3m1f, good) in November and was a good second over C&D (good to soft) last March; shouldn't be written off.

He's fallen/unseated on three of his five starts over hurdles but was going well when exiting two out at Stratford (2m6f, soft) last month and ran well when runner-up to well-backed winner at Bangor (3m, good) a fortnight ago; major player granted a clear round.

Took a step forward in a first-time tongue-tie (retained) when third at Southwell (3m, good) three weeks ago on her handicap hurdle debut; finished third in her sole point and her dam was a useful chaser, so this very lightly raced 6yo could have more to offer now switched to fences.

0-9 over fences and he's struggled on his last two starts; however, first-time cheekpieces had a positive impact when he was second off 4lb higher over C&D (good to soft) last November, so perhaps today's first-time blinkers and tongue-tie will give him a boost.

Soundly beaten in seventh in three maiden hurdles and pulled up on handicap hurdle debut at Perth last April (3m, good to soft; 12-1); absent since and plenty to prove but this very lightly raced point runner-up is one to watch in the betting now tackling fences in first-time cheekpieces.

11yo whose losing run goes back 11 races to November 2024 but he ran pretty well off his lower hurdle mark at Musselburgh last month, following a break, and all four of his wins have come over fences (two of them here); not discounted back chasing.

His last two wins have come here (including this race in 2023) and he was 8lb out of the handicap when back here last time; however, this 10yo has been pulled up on his last three starts and needs to turn things around.

Bumped into progressive winner when runner-up over C&D (soft) last month on his second chase start but beaten 31l and only two completed, so it wasn't a good advertisement for his claims this afternoon.

Reappeared with a win over C&D (good to soft) last November and he's back down to the same mark for his first visit here since; however, this 12yo has struggled subsequently and a major turnaround is necessary.

Respectable fifth of 14 at Carlisle (3m, good to soft) in February but well beaten at Newcastle (2m7f, good to soft) last month; has had a second wind op since, which needs to make a difference if he's to break his duck.

Went close in a point in May 2024 but he's struggled under rules and was well beaten at 28-1 on his recent chase debut over C&D.

Mistakes eventually caught up with him when he fell three out on last month's chase debut over C&D (soft); however, he was in second at the time and could play a leading role if first-time cheekpieces help his jumping.

Runner-up off 3lb higher over C&D (good to soft) last March but unable to recapture that form across his five starts this season; wears first-time tongue-tie/visor (replacing cheekpieces).

Beaten just a neck over C&D last May but hasn't threatened in four subsequent starts and this 13yo is winless since 2020; 7lb wrong today.

0-18 over fences and hasn't been shaping of late as though a win is imminent; 10lb out of the handicap today and hard to fancy.

Point runner-up who has run pretty well in defeat on his first two handicap starts (2m4f/2m5f, soft/good to soft); drops back down in grade today and he's high on the list.

Very lightly raced 8yo who was 25-1 runner-up on handicap debut at Wetherby (2m3f, soft) last January; soundly beaten at Ayr this February on sole run since but may have needed that outing; not discounted.

Won on stable debut over C&D (good) last August and good second at Kelso (2m5f, good) next time; tailed off over C&D in October before respectable fourth of 13 at Newcastle (2m4f, good to soft) in December; the closer the ground is to being good, the better; could be a contender after a break.

Close third over hurdles at Wetherby (3m, soft) in January then won over fences at Catterick (3m1f, soft); ran pretty well when 5l third of three in Sedgefield chase (3m2f, good) last time; arrives in good heart and there can be optimism that she'll be fine now back down in trip; possible player.

Beaten about 13l when seventh of nine on handicap debut at Newcastle (2m1f, good to soft) in February; however, this 5yo showed promise previously and his pedigree hints that this step up in trip will be a plus.

Displayed ability in Ireland last spring and this very lightly raced 5yo is one to watch in the betting; however, he was tailed off at big odds last month in his first two handicaps.

Won at Carlisle (2m3f, soft) in November on second stable start and, with this hood back on, took a step back in the right direction when 7l sixth of 14 over this C&D (soft) last month; showed promise on good to yielding ground earlier in career; capable of building on that latest effort.

Very hard to fancy on what he's shown over fences/hurdles since last October; however, he's tumbled down the weights and the two best RPRs in his career have been achieved at Hexham, so no surprise to see a good run.

Won two in a row in February 2024 and very well treated on that form, but pulled up/tailed off on his last three starts; a visor goes on.

Took a step forward when third on handicap debut at Carlisle (2m3f, soft) in February; only seventh of 14 over this C&D (soft) since but this lightly raced 8yo isn't written off in view of his penultimate effort.

Completed soft-ground hat-trick in November/December (3m, 2m7f and 2m5f) but subsequent evidence suggests this 10yo has gone off the boil; made bad mistake at Ayr last time (two months ago) and pulled up.

Runner-up twice under Gregor Walkingshaw in the autumn, including over C&D; however, no impact in his three handicaps; now 4lb lower than his opening mark, Walkingshaw (also on board penultimate start) returns and headgear enlisted.

Five races for his new trainer and back on track, following three third places with a tenacious C&D win (soft) under Charlie Maggs in 14-runner race 19 days ago; back up 4lb but one to consider seriously.

Off the mark at Chepstow (2m3f, soft) in January; inconsistent, however, and she was tailed off when tried over 3m at Doncaster on latest outing, despite the stamina in her family; connections turn to 7lb claimer.

Dead-heated for first in an Irish maiden point last April (3m, good); beaten at least 20l in her three hurdle races, all at about 2m4f, and needs big improvement but handicap debut means she requires a second look.

No win since May 2023 but, following wind surgery, she's not been far away in two of her last three starts; the latest was her fifth of 14 to Gardener over C&D; place chance.

Four-time point winner who's been thereabouts in a couple of his handicaps this season, most recently when second at Wetherby (2m4f, soft) on Boxing Day; not so good on his next two outings and ran poorly in a maiden on latest, so needs to stop the rot.

In cracking form this season, with three wins and a second, until however he went down by 25l at Bangor (good) on latest start; maybe the ground that day was not soft enough; major player if bouncing straight back.

One bit of ability (in cheekpieces) from four starts in Ireland; another in the first (2m4f, soft) of two handicap runs for this stable, which still demands big overall improvement but cheekpieces are now restored.

1-39 over hurdles, the win gained here (2m, good) last May; inconsistent and although he stays 2m4f and latest start was one of his better days, today's position 7lb out of the handicap makes things tough.

Quite useful in his prime and he won a point in February (3m, good to soft) before easily following up in a hunter chase at Catterick last month (3m1f, good; Lunar Contact second); strong claims.

Very lightly raced 10yo who won the Heart Of All England Maiden Hunters' Chase over C&D (good) in May 2024; however, others have stronger form and this is his first outing since.

Course winner who was third in a point-to-point in January; however, this 12yo has been pulled up off a basement mark in handicaps on his last two starts and others are preferred.

Two-time chase winner who was a 9l second in this race 12 months ago (good); gets a pull in the weights with the winner Brandy McQueen from their clash at Catterick (3m1f, good) last month but he was soundly beaten in second and has work to do today.

Pulled up/tailed off on all seven starts since winning the Welsh National for the Moore stable in December 2023; it's tricky to assess what he's capable of nowadays but this race is vastly easier than he's used to and if he retains any spark he'll be tough to beat on this stable debut.

Fairly useful chase form for Henry de Bromhead as recently as winter 2024-25; he's finished in the first three in two points this year and could be involved returning to rules action.

Third in Grade 1 novice hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival in March 2022 for Willie Mullins; he's raced in points on his last seven starts, winning five of them; one to be interested in now back under rules.

Won mares' novice hurdle for Dan Skelton last October and ran respectably in second in a hunter chase at Carlisle (2m5f, good to soft) last month on her second start for this yard; shaped last time as though this trip may be within range and she could be involved.

Out of a dual bumper winner; bought for £60,000 after finishing second on Irish point debut in November (yielding ground), form that was boosted when the third won a bumper last month and ran well at Aintree on Saturday; must be considered.

Third foal; half-brother to bumper winner Cut The Rope; dam unplaced 6f 2yo (RPR 67), half-sister to a 6f winner; stable has some success in bumpers; market support will bring him into the equation.

Well beaten on last month's debut at Wetherby and probably flattered by proximity when fourth of five in slowly run race there ten days later; others have much stronger claims.

Displayed improvement when placed in soft-ground Irish point in January on third start, after which he was bought for £20,000; new trainer has modest strike-rate in bumpers; might be one for further down the line.

From a good jumping family and she won a good-ground point bumper on debut just over a year ago; made low-key rules debut on soft last month (tongue tied) but might be seen in a better light if the ground dries out.

Out of a well-connected mare who was placed in a bumper; bought for £50,000 after promising Irish point debut just over a year ago (yielding to soft) and it will be interesting to see how she fares on rules debut.

Second foal; dam runner-up in 2m5f-3m hurdles, closely related to useful bumper and jumps winner The Cockney Mackem; market helpful.

Well clear of the third when second of seven in good-ground point bumper six weeks ago, after which he changed hands for £24,000; new stable has fair bumper strike-rate; no surprise if he features.

Eighth foal; half-brother to five winners including Go Dante (useful bumper and 2m/2m1f hurdle), Angel Of Harlem (useful 2m4f-3m hurdle/chase) and Little Miss Dante (bumper/2m hurdle); dam bumper/useful 2m-3m hurdle winner for this top stable; very appealing on paper.

Won debut at Deauville (6.5f, AW) in October but put firmly in his place in French Listed race (7f, heavy) 17 days later; drops back to a novice race for this return and should still bring potential, but he's not alone in that.

270,000gns yearling by Blue Point; 6-4 favourite for nine-runner novice at Lingfield (6f, AW) 19 days ago and found his stride nicely for a comfortable win; penalised and needs to build on that display but he's promising.

Well-bred Godolphin filly; promise at Chelmsford (6f, AW) last June and much better to make short work of her rivals in a maiden at Newmarket (6f, good to firm) three weeks later; absent since and it wasn't a strong field last time but she still looks a leading contender.

Sixth foal; Al Kazeem half-brother to winners Lady Erimus (1m 2yo; RPR 61) and Haughmond (Italian 6f-1m1f); unraced dam closely related to Hong Kong 1m2f/1m4f Group 1 winner Blazing Speed; on debut, probably up against it.

Backed into 9-4 from 20-1 for debut at Carlisle (6f, good) and recovered from a slow start to be a close third; made most when beaten a head in five-runner maiden at Hamilton (6f, soft) later in September; left the Russell/Scudamore stable for 100,000gns in October (gelded since) and should be open to plenty more improvement; player.

By Territories; eighth foal; brother to 7f/1m winner With Love (including 2yo/US turf; RPR 87), half-brother to winners The Third Star (7f AW; 87) and Youmzain Star (French 7f/1m1f 2yo; 80); dam French 1m winner; trainer (runs two) was off the mark for 2026 late last month.

420,000gns yearling by Blue Point; fourth foal; half-brother to three winners including Oxted (5f-7f including Group 1 King's Stand and July Cup; RPR 123) and Chipstead (5f-6f; 110); dam 5f/6f winner (96); tongue tied for debut but, representing such strong connections, he is very much one to note.

Slowly away when towards rear in two 6f maidens on AW last month; that suggests strongly that he's a longer-term project.

By Territories; first foal; dam 7f winner (RPR 79), half-sister to two fairly useful winners, out of Group-placed 5f 2yo winner; the same connections also run Percy's Star, who might be the more likely candidate.

Beat one at Newbury (6.5f, soft) last October; better when sixth of nine at Doncaster (6f, heavy) two weeks later but still needs huge improvement.

Hooded but raced freely on both starts (7f/6f, AW) for Charlie Appleby in December, making most for an improved effort when third of six at Lingfield; picked up for 14,000gns in February; others have markedly better form.

Seventh foal; sister to Spanish 5.5f/6f winner Antonella (RPR 105), half-sister to five winners including Excellent Times (6f/7f; 97) and Times Warrior (French 7f/1m; 97); dam 5.5f winner (76) from useful sprinting family; market can guide on debut but she's probably one for later on.

28-1, weakened into a well-beaten last of seven in maiden at Ayr (6f, good) last June and reportedly finished lame; has left Mick Appleby.
