The Daily Trio: Saturday 5th April
Quick review of yesterday’s tips.
What a horse Salvator Mundi is. I was confident he would beat Romeo Coolio but didn’t expect it to be quite that easy! He loved the good ground and Paul Townend was laughing at Sam Ewing going to the last.
Kopek De Mee, that was agony. He finished like a train and would have won the race had he made his run half a second earlier. Jockey Mark Walsh takes the blame for that in my opinion, he gave the horse an impossible task. This will be a fantastic grade 1 horse next season.
James De Berlais ran very well but got tired after the last. We finished in profit for the day thanks to Salvator Mundi.
Who will win on Saturday, and who wins the Grand National?
Teahupoo is known as a soft ground staying horse. Conditions at Aintree today will not be soft, which is letting Teahupoo go off at a bigger price than he probably should. This is a quality horse with a touch of class and proven Grade 1 victories. There isn’t much solid Grade 1 form in the race. The ground conditions may not be ideal but it may not matter, he could be good enough to destroy these on the bridle anyway. Selection: Teahupoo, 3:05 Aintree.
L’eau Du Sud has had a good season and his fourth place last time was a cracking run as he wasn’t beaten far at all. He is fitted with cheekpieces today and if they bring about even slight improvement then he should be hard to stop. He can turn around the Cheltenham form with Only By Night. Selection: L’eau Du Sud, 5:00 Aintree.
Green Splendour was an impressive winner at Leopardstown over Christmas and again ran well in a hot race at the Dublin Racing Festival in February. He has been saved for today since that performance, skipping some valuable races. He should be fine on today’s ground and I’m expecting a big performance. Selection: Green Splendour, 5:35 Aintree.
Also have a 1 point treble. Good luck!

Points? How do I bet? Simply think of a point as your preferred unit stake. If you want to bet in £10s then you would have 3x £10 wins and a £10 treble.
What is the Daily Trio strategy?
The proven betting system and recommended bet is three singles and a treble. As a rough rule of thumb: one winner = money back, two winners = double your money, three winners = jackpot!
Why does the Daily Trio strategy work?
Mav operates at roughly a 33% strike rate for winners over the year, so around one in three selections win. Assuming each winner is 3/1 on average (some are much higher) then each year we should see money back at least based on purely the single bets alone, and the profit comes from the trebles.
This is a long term strategy that works – not a get rich quick scheme. Some tipsters claim to have a ‘20/1 banker that can’t lose’ every day, we don’t. This is maintaining a consistent strike rate from our excellent tipster and sticking to an optimised stake system, perfect for having a bet every day without losing a fortune over the year. We also don’t charge – our site is free.
