Jamie Spencer won’t be going to Southwell for nothing, and the first one of his I fancy is Spirit of Bowland. This is a previous course winner though hasn’t won for quite a while. Today looks the best chance in a long time.
Last is the old man Sir Benedict. This is a multiple course and distance winner though again hasn’t been in the best of form. Spencer can excel on this one and hopefully land the treble.
Hayynah looks a winner waiting to happen and is the pick of Spencer’s rides today. Lightly raced, good form, lots of scope. Looks to have Mehmas Engine to beat.
