Wednesday 11th March 2026 | Cheltenham Festival Daily Horse Racing Tips – The Daily Trio

🐎 Today’s Daily Trio

Overview: What a first day. Yesterday’s article picked Saratoga — a 10/1 winner — but aside from that we drew a blank in the other races. Today we go again at the Cheltenham Festival, the highlight of the year for jump racing fans. As always we have three selections for the Daily Trio bet, but because it’s Cheltenham I’ll share my thoughts on every single race, every day. For those wanting to jump straight to the main three selections, scroll down a bit further.

1:20 Turners Novices’ Hurdle

I was hoping for a good Irish horse to take on No Drama This End, but one hasn’t materialised that I can see. No Drama This End has the best form. King Rasko Grey is the mount of Paul Townend, who is always to be feared, but the horse has drifted to 15/2 which is alarming for his backers. Cobden and Nicholls should get off the mark.

2:40 BetMGM Cup

This is a game of bingo where we will see many horses in with a chance turning for home and traffic problems will probably dictate who wins. My money is down on Puturhandstogether for Joseph O’Brien, who always seems to land a winner at the Festival. This five-year-old has considerable scope for improvement and is a lovely price.

4:00 Queen Mother Champion Chase

I’m on Majborough for this at 9/2 so can’t abandon him now. The cheekpieces settled this horse well and allow him to concentrate on his jumping. The ability is there — if he jumps well then he wins. If he doesn’t jump well then Leau Du Sud is the only horse who can take advantage.

4:40 Johnny Henderson Grand Annual

Jasko Des Dames will be a big price but is my idea of the winner. He has shown progression, and will come on for his return run five weeks ago. Henry De Bromhead rarely leaves without getting one on the board.

🐎 Today’s Daily Trio selections

2:00 Brown Advisory Novices’ Chase
I have been backing Romeo Coolio at all kinds of prices since the Autumn for this race, despite him never having run over the trip before. Everyone kept saying he will go to the Arkle and I simply couldn’t see it — this horse is a stayer and he will be a massive player in the 2027 Gold Cup if he makes it. I don’t think anyone else here will think they have a Gold Cup horse, unless Mullins still thinks Final Demand is worthy, but his run last time was abysmal.

3:20 Glenfarclas Cross Country
Stumptown won this last year and is still only nine years old. Despite carrying top weight, there is only 5lb between him and the favourite Favori De Champdou. I believe Stumptown is capable of giving him the 5lb — Favori is eleven years old so no spring chicken. Jockey Keith Donoghue is a cheat code round this cross country course.

5:20 Champion Bumper
Love Sign Daunou looked good on his only start to date and Paddy Mullins got the choice of the Closutton battalion. It actually looks a poor edition of the bumper to me and I really like the horse.

Daily Trio selections:
2:00 – Romeo Coolio
3:20 – Stumptown
5:20 – Love Sign Daunou

Daily Trio Strategy

What is the Daily Trio strategy?

Our proven betting system is three singles and a treble. As a simple guide:

1 winner = roughly money back
2 winners = profit
3 winners = jackpot

It’s a sustainable way to have a bet every day while keeping the chance of a nice win alive. The key is holding our own with the bookies until we land the day where all three go in — and the treble lands.

Why & how does the Daily Trio strategy work?

  • ~33% strike rate across the year (~1 in 3 winners).
  • Singles are designed to hold stake over time.
  • Profit kicker comes from the treble — that’s the maths working for us.
£
Suggested staking example
Many followers bet 3 × £8 singles and a £6 treble
(total stake £30) — but the choice is yours.
We use the £30 stake for profit/loss calculations. Bet responsibly.
