Free Daily Tips: 18th February
We backed a few winners on Monday with Hello Judge at 7/1 being the highest priced winner.
Todays selections:
Market Rasen
1:50 Lundi Noir. £60k Doctor Dino gelding that makes his debut in a weak race.
2:20 Future Fortune. Showed much better form than previously when staying on nicely at Taunton and can step forward again.
2:50 Mythe Bridge. Looked like a chaser over hurdles and gets his chance today.
3:20 Miss Cynthia. Good performances to finish second the last twice and goes in a very winnable race today. Fairly weighted for handicap debut.
3:52 Realta Liath. An unexposed horse who has shown definite ability despite not winning. Handicap debut today. This horse is fourth in the betting at the overnight prices but I’d make it favourite under James Bowen.
4:27 Bread And Butter. Record reads 0 from 8 over fences but couldn’t have been found a worse race than this one. Won three times over hurdles this season and is 5lb lower over fences.
5:02 Telepieces. A half sister to Xcitations, a winner a few days ago. Makes racecourse debut and will be a big price. Pam Sly knows how to train a bumper winner.
Taunton
2:05 Don’t Tell Rosie. Improved performance third time out last time but was always going to be a handicapper and makes handicap debut today. She has been gently ridden in her racecourse visits so far so maybe they are trying today.
2:35 The Goose. Thought good enough to run in a listed bumper at Cheltenham last time out (well beaten), hurdles debut today and is overpriced. Very well weighted.
3:05 The Final Word. His third place six weeks ago under kid gloves reads very well and this point winner can shed his maiden tag. First time tongue tie. A strong fancy.
3:35 Robinsville. Beaten five lengths by Safe Destination last time, who has to give Robinsville 1 stone and 7lb here. Robinsville is a maiden but won’t get many better chances than this.
4:10 The Widdow Maker. I loved this horses comeback from a long absence over course & distance last time. He was out the back but stayed on nicely considering he needed the run desperately after two years away from the racecourse. That will have blown away the cobwebs and I see he is the rank outsider in this race overnight which is surprising.
4:45 Shearer. Needs this to qualify for Cheltenham and should canter round to win.
Wolverhampton
4:20 Wonderbolt. A £175k newcomer. Wootton Basset filly. Could outclass these even on debut.
4:55 Sun Keeper. Decent third at Newcastle a month or so ago. Up in trip, first time tongue tie.
5:30 Kaleidoscope Eyes. Course winner who can bounce back from a fourth place last time out to take this.
6:00 Addosh. Interesting reverting to the flat just four days after a national hunt run where he was strongly fancied. Has won here before.
6:30 Ezmerellda. A hurdler mainly but looks to have a strong chance here under a capable jockey.
7:00 Camera Shy. Very lightly raced Newmarket winner, still has untapped potential.
7:30 Coconut Bay. A course and distance winner who was a credible fourth last time. Has to be a key player in a poor race.
8:00 Celebrating Ethel. Good form over course and distance and this horse is overdue a win.
8:30 Sense Of Worth. Returned to form last time, albeit not winning but was staying in nicely at the end. Up in trip today.
Happy punting
