Free Daily Tips: 21st February
Busy. That’s the word to describe today. Plenty of bets to be had, and plenty of money to be won.
Warwick
1:10 Hillcrest. In last chance saloon territory but there is clearly ability there.
1:40 Barricane. Now below his last winning mark and sports first time blinkers.
2:10 Disco Davis. Can add to his success at Lingfield a few weeks ago. Looks to have less questions to answer than his rivals.
2:40 Jupiter Des Bordes. Brings winning hurdles form from France and showed very encouraging signs on stable debut in a handicap chase when third. Should improve for that experience.
3:10 Cawthorne Banker. Struggling for any sort of form recently but has shown ability in the past and is the sort to bounce back at a big price eventually.
3:40 Us And Them. Has been a massive disappointment since leaving Joseph O’Brien and has now been off the track for 463 days. Although now a 12 year old, some of his runs for Alan Jones showed he could have a win left in him – he has looked to have his rivals beat turning for home before weakening tamely on multiple occasions – and if his problems have been nursed away in this small yard then I wouldn’t put it past this former Arkle runner up to roll back the years and grab another front running win before retirement. A massive price today.
4:10 Chatshow Host. Poor chase debut but should improve from it (will need to). A dual Irish point winner who is capable of better.
4:40 Stylish Composer. The stable second string but could be anything on debut. It’s not the strongest mares bumper you will ever see.
Exeter
2:00 Ambion View. Running consistently well (apart from falling two starts ago) and to a good standard. The form looks good for a class 4 novice hurdle.
2:30 Largy Poet. A chasing type who gets a chance over fences today for a powerful yet underperforming yard. Looks to have a very strong chance.
3:00 Malina Girl. The second string of the Cromwell yard here, she will improve for her seasonal debut run on New Year’s Day. Nice price.
3:30 Gold Clermont. Ran his best race of the season when third last time out and could be worth siding with now hitting form again.
4:00 Shantwopointfive. Won a Southwell handicap easily last time and has a good chance to follow up. Ascending Lark is on a 4-timer but her jumping puts me off.
4:30 Fierce Warrior. Has disappointed in handicaps so far but its early days. This bumper and novice hurdle winner drops back to a more suitable trip here.
5:05 The Blue Room. He went in my tracker when second in an Aintree bumper on debut over Christmas. Looking at the race before it was priced up I expected to see even money for this horse, and instead I see 10/3 overnight.
Punchestown
1:50 Adela Icon. A reserve but wins if she gets in surely. 4/1 overnight price.
2:20 Runcok. Disappointed last time out in a bumper but Mullins wastes no time in getting him over hurdles and he should take some stopping.
2:50 Toad Hall. Evidently had problems, but evidently has ability to be kept in training for so long by a top yard for top connections. Not seen on a racecourse for 687 days.
3:20 Creadan Grace. Not the strongest mares maiden hurdle and Creadan Glare can go very well on racecourse debut. Kingston Hill mare. Half-sister to useful chaser Creadan Grae. The race favourite at the time of writing Affinity Rock sets a very low bar.
3:50 The Lucky Lobster. Returned to form with a third at this course a month ago and steps back up to a more favourable trip.
4:20 Coffeys Forge. Not a strong race but Coffeys Forge looks the most likely winner out of a bunch of rubbish. (Sorry but true).
4:50 Mighty Soldier. Lightly raced, unexposed, course experience, ran well last time here.
5:20 Santo Sospir. Intriguing newcomer. One of two in the race for Gordon Elliott. A Motivator gelding, seemingly the pick of the stable jockeys. Powerful owner. Strong fancy.
Southwell
4:15 Queenofdestruction. Performing with credit and only narrowly beaten on her five racecourse starts to date. Wears a first time hood.
4:45 Foxlight. Made a winning start in a bumper at this course so don’t think this is a horse making its debut when you don’t see flat form on the paper. A Sea The Stars gelding who quickened clear to win last time here.
5:15 Roland Garros. One who has been in my tracker since debut. A £200,000 Nathaniel colt. At the overnight prices I see heavy odds on at 1/4 for Liam Swagger with Roland Garros available at 10/3, probably as Tyler Heard rides. I’ll certainly be on Roland here as one of the bets of the day.
5:45 Lady Mariko. A maiden who was staying in at the end last time at Newcastle. Steps up in trip.
6:15 Rohaan. Was given a useless ride last time out when it should have been much closer. Very well handicapped.
6:45 Brinton. Was running in well towards the end last time out and goes again five days later in fist time Cheekpieces.
7:15 Lion’s Dream. His best run of the season was his last one over C&D a week ago. First time visor, low weight to carry.
7:45 King Of York. Out of form currently but will randomly pop up in this sort of race at a big price, why not today.
8:15 Super Superjack. Could run well fresh after a break in a very open race.
Happy punting
