Our Daily Trio selections for Monday 24th February
A cracking Monday of racing, highlighted by the rearranged card at Punchestown. Oh Janey (5:10 Ayr) and Morfee (2:45 Plumpton) get a mention as in most other days they would have made the final three. I’ll be backing them separately.
Todays Trio:
Toad Hall has evidently had problems, but evidently has ability to be kept in training for so long by a top yard for top connections. Not seen on a racecourse for 687 days but if any trainer can win with a horse after such an absence it’s Mullins. Selection: Toad Hall, 2:35 Punchestown, 1 point win.
The 3:20 race is not the strongest mares maiden hurdle and Creadan Glare can go very well on racecourse debut. Kingston Hill mare. Half-sister to useful chaser Creadan Grae. The race favourite at the time of writing Affinity Rock sets a very low bar. Selection: Creadan Glare, 3:20 Punchestown, 1 point win.
Santo Sospir is an intriguing newcomer. One of two in the race for Gordon Elliott. A Motivator gelding, seemingly the pick of the stable jockeys. Powerful owner. Strong fancy. Selection: Santo Sospir, 5:18 Punchestown, 1 point win.
Also have a 1 point treble.
Happy punting

Points? How do I bet? Simply think of a point as your preferred unit stake. If you want to bet in £10s then you would have 3x £10 wins and an £10 treble.
What is the Daily Trio strategy?
The proven betting system and recommended bet is three singles and a treble. As a rough rule of thumb: one winner = money back, two winners = double your money, three winners = jackpot!
Why does the Daily Trio strategy work?
Mav operates at roughly a 33% strike rate for winners over the year, so around one in three selections win. Assuming each winner is 3/1 on average (some are much higher) then each year we should see money back at least based on purely the single bets alone, and the profit comes from the trebles.
