Free Horse Racing Daily Tips: 26th February
We backed a lovely 40/1 winner yesterday in Bollin Neil, a great result to go alongside another few selections that made the winners enclosure from our free daily horse racing tips section.
More of the same today please, with hopefully more winners!
Wincanton (abandoned)
1:33 Bank On Frank. Hasn’t been anywhere near winning a race in his three starts to date but there is potential there and he showed enough when third last time to suggest he can give the odds-on race favourite Bobby’s Nelson something to think about.
2:05 Sweet Caryline. I’ll be singing the song very loudly when Brendan Powell steers this one home in front. The race favourite at the time of writing – Feet On The Ground – is undoubtedly a potential improver now handicapping, but hasn’t shown the form (yet) that Sweet Caryline has.
2:35 No Hubs No Hoobs. Last seen in the Welsh National, this Tizzard horse has his sights lowered considerably and the 3m trip a round Wincanton should be no bother. The selection has already won twice a round here and is fancied to beat the last time our winner Saladins Son.
3:05 Klic Boum. This horse was a Daily Trio selection last time out where he was given a poor ride but rattled home late showing great promise. This is a further step up in trip and I’m certainly backing him to win today.
3:40 Smart Casual. A race full of unreliable horses. Smart Casual should be the best of a bad bunch, especially with the cheekpieces on for the first time.
4:15 Go Sacre Go. Returned with a cracking run for second at this course on his chasing debut. Should improve for that pipe opener and has a pull in the weighted with Yccs Portocervo who returns from a 221 day absence.
4:45 And She Was. A half sister to plenty of winners and will be a nice price today with rivals Arfursgal and Ace Artist likely to attract plenty of money.
Wetherby
1:45 La Belle Argentee. A well bred filly from a top yard who do very well in this type of race at Wetherby. This could be an above average horse for the grade and can win a few race for the Skelton’s.
2:15 Rule Me In. Won very well at Southwell last time and steps up in trip slightly which should help.
2:45 Art Of Diplomacy. A three time hurdles winner who has now had three placed efforts over fences. The Bowen’s are good at getting this type of horse to win races and he looks to have a solid chance assuming a clean round of jumping.
3:18 Cornerstone Lad. A likely outsider who ran disappointingly last time, but is a previous course winner and has a good chance if on song.
3:53 Off The Jury. Still looking for a first win, but this is an outstanding opportunity. The jockey isn’t the best but this horse could and should have enough in hand to win.
4:28 Ladronne. Twice a winner around here and is now around a stone lighter than for his last victory. Steps back up in trip which is a positive.
5:00 Wednesday Addams. First time in handicaps, first time cheekpieces, this horse showed promise in bumpers and is unexposed.
Bangor
1:55 Casa No Mento. Looks a sure fire winner of a novice chase. A good run when fourth in a grade 2 hurdle last time. Also a listed winner at Punchestown last year. Surely wins this barring accidents.
2:25 Grasshopper Time. An average maiden hurdler at best, but the switch to chasing could be what is needed to gain that elusive first victory.
2:55 Big City Roller. It will take some training performance to make a winning return after 445 days away from the track, but Charlie Longsdon could manage it here as Big City Roller has the measure of these if tuned up.
3:30 Scar Bridge. This is a poor race despite having an odds-on favourite in I’ve Madeupmymind. Scar Bridge makes his debut for Donald McCain and doesn’t need to be a superstar to be competitive here. Big price.
4:05 Kingbel Du Lion. Good French form and could be a cut above this lot. I’m very interested in this horse and assuming a reasonable round of jumping he could thrash the odds-on favourite Winchmore Hill.
4:35 Twyford’s Diamond. Fair maiden, positive run last time when fourth. C’est Different is a very short price favourite but may find life harder with the penalties after two straight wins.
5:10 Getaway With You. An 18 race maiden but showed enough when second last time to think there is a race or two to be won. First time tongue strap.
Kempton
4:23 Black Cab. There was confidence behind this one in the betting before he ran last of five at Southwell on debut. Could well do better with that experience behind him and wears a first time tongue tie. Black Cab is the clear outsider of the field but has a better chance than the odds suggest.
4:55 No Release. Following horses in form in all weather handicaps pays dividends and this finished a good second at Chelmsford last time. There isn’t much quality in this race and No Release looks sure to be heavily involved.
5:30 Baileys Value. Form figures of 0-0-0 in the three runs needed to qualify for handicaps. The blinkers and a tongue tie go on for handicap debut off what is unsurprisingly not a high mark.
6:00 Giant. C&D winner in reasonable form and has a good chance in an open looking race.
6:30 Jersey Rocs. Oisin Murphy booked and a fair handicap mark. Two wins from six last year and a promising second place run last time.
7:00 Masterofgreygoose. A terrible race, perhaps Masterofgreygoose can show more after a drop in the handicap.
7:30 Olympus Point. Opera Ballo won well on debut when a Daily Trio selection for this site, but the likely price today is unbackable. Opera Ballo has an obvious chance following that visually impressive victory but stablemate Olympus Point has arguably achieved more on the track so far, having won at Newmarket and recorded form figures of 23212.
8:00 One Horse Town. Harry Derham has booked Kieran Shoemark for handicap debut where the horse goes up in trip. Could be let in lightly and is a big price.
8:30 Orchestra. The second of nine at this course and distance last time reads well and a repeat would obviously see the horse go very close.
Happy punting

Results from the Free Horse Racing Tips section do not count towards site P&L. The Daily Trio section has the long term profit angle covered as we can be more selective, but hopefully we can give you a fair share of the daily winners.
