Free Horse Racing Tips: 27th February
There are five good meetings today in what promises to be an entertaining Thursday. We should have a good few winners.
Today’s free horse racing tips:
Taunton
1:50 Manala. Diamonds for Luck is a prohibitively short priced favourite (1-20 on at the time of writing) and simply unbackable. I’m going with the old saying ‘always back the outsider of three’ for a little interest in the race.
2:25: Missy Mole. Poor race, this will be a big outsider but has a chance stepping up in distance.
3:00 Heros. Didn’t run badly when fourth at Sandown last time and will like it back at Taunton.
3:35 Drash On Ruby. This is a sixteen race maiden but has been running credibly. Steps up in trip today which will suit. Will be a nice price and has a stronger chance than the betting suggests.
4:10 Ede’iffs Rock. Now 9lb better off with Space Voyage and has a fair chance of winning this.
4:45 Sinchi Roca. Newcomer to rules having won a point in December, this horse is related to champion hurdle winner Brave Inca. Whilst it’s highly unlikely that Sinchi Roca will be anywhere near that quality, this £70k purchase looks to have a good chance here under Harry Cobden.
Clonmel
1:40 Paggane. Frustrating but has the talent to make a decent chaser. Looks to have a fantastic chance to make it third time lucky over fences. Paul Townsend takes the mount and the strongest challenger looks likely to be stablemate Karia Des Blaises.
2:15 Important Message. This now 13yo looks to have it all to do, but wasn’t far away three fences from home when falling at Thurles last time and will be a huge price today.
2:50 Lightkeeper. No excuses if this horse gets beaten today as everything is in its favour. Will do better back over hurdles, no problem with the distance, level weights with the race favourite Robinstown. Great chance.
3:25 Sights Unseen. Makes his second start in handicap company and was an eye catcher when running second last time out. The cheekpieces go back on today and there is room in his handicap mark.
4:00 Onlymammycanloveme. Third at 33/1 last time out in a bumper. Better is expected over hurdles and it’s a weak race despite the large field as most of them are simply useless or aren’t trying today as they want a handicap mark.
4:35 Next Stop Paris. Looked to be travelling with purpose when falling three out on his last run and could be let in lightly today. Wears a first time hood.
5:05 Muskerry Rock. Running with credit recently and wears first time blinkers. Well handicapped back over hurdles compared to his Chase rating.
Ludlow
2:35 Doctor Love. Ran a good race to be third on hurdles debut and can improve.
3:10 Puddlesinthepark. Has dropped in the weights, perhaps too much judged on his win last time out. A repeat of that form pits him bang in the picture to win this as well.
3:45 Minniemum. A promising third last time suggests she is running into form and is well weighted.
4:20 Hystery Bere. A horse in form who has ran second the last twice and has a strong chance to get back into the winners enclosure today.
4:53 Charming Getaway. Finished his race very strongly at Doncaster and steps up in trip. Likeable.
5:23 Zucayan. A previous winner here at Ludlow he made an okay return to action last time and can step forward from that.
Newcastle
1:35 Strategic Fortune. Hasn’t won in fourteen starts but th pe run last time was much more like it and puts him in pole position to win this with a repeat.
2:10 Show No Fear. Previous C&D winner who goes back up in trip to what looks a way more suitable distance.
2:45 Tomorrow Day. Course specialist who has won here five times in the last six months. Can’t be ruled out and should be favourite.
3:20 Dark Kestrel. C&D winner who is prone to starting slowly, but the rivals all look beatable and the run of the race should suit.
3:55 Regalian. This Kingman half brother is impossible to oppose on debut.
4:30 Blackcurrent. A six time Newcastle winner who is running into form again. Great chance.
5:00 John Kirkup. A long time since his last win but has the form to be competitive and is a big price to do so.
5:35 Barnaby. A six time course and distance winner with a very capable 7lb claimer on board.
Chelmsford
5:30 Daddy Chill. A £25k newcomer with a 7lb claimer. Andrew Balding’s runners always demand a second glance.
6:00 Sonmarg. 17 races without a win but returning to form. A good second place last time out, albeit no match for the winner. First time visor.
6:30 Cooperation. Another course and distance winner who hasn’t won in quite a while. The cheekpieces go back on after a tame run at Newcastle and he should run much better at this track.
7:00 Zooks. In form having finished second the last twice. Looks to have a good chance here under these conditions.
7:30 State Of Madness. Polytrack debut with the sniper Luke Morris up. Good all weather form on other surfaces including Wolverhampton.
8:00 Alvesta. A sixteen race maiden but has a chance in a first time hood at a nice price under Saffie.
8:30 Helm Rock. Good third ten days ago and gets first time blinkers. Holds form claims anyway and claims strengthened if the blinkers coax improvement.
Happy punting.
