🏇 Horse Racing Bet Types (Singles → Goliath)

Single — 1 selection ・ 1 bet

What it is: One selection; if it wins (or places on an Each-Way place part), you’re paid.

Lines1
StakeStake × 1 line (×2 if Each-Way)
PayoutWin return = stake × decimal odds. Profit = return − stake.
Example: £10 at 5/2 (decimal 3.50) → return £35.00, profit £25.00.

Each-Way splits your stake 50/50: win part + place part at the place fraction (e.g., 1/5 or 1/4).

Double — 2 selections ・ 1 bet

What it is: Both must win (place part can pay on EW). Returns from Leg 1 roll onto Leg 2.

Lines1
PayoutReturn = stake × (dec1 × dec2)
Example: £1 at 2/1 (3.00) & 6/4 (2.50) → 3.00×2.50=7.50 → return £7.50.
Treble — 3 selections ・ 1 bet

What it is: All three must win. High variance, higher upside.

Example: £1 at 2/1 (3.00), 3/1 (4.00), 5/4 (2.25) → 3×4×2.25 = 27.00 → £27.00 return.
Accumulator (Fourfold, Fivefold, …) ・ 1 bet

What it is: One line across all selections (4+). Any loser kills the win part.

  • Fourfold: 4 legs, 1 line
  • Fivefold: 5 legs, 1 line
  • Sixfold+: continues likewise

Payout: stake × ∏(decimal odds). Voids settle as 1.00 (leg removed).

Trixie — 3 selections ・ 4 bets (3 Doubles + 1 Treble)

What it is: A “full cover” multiple without singles. At least two winners needed for a return.

Lines3 doubles + 1 treble = 4
StakeStake × 4 (×2 if EW)

Why use: Smoother than an acca; one loser doesn’t wipe you out.

Patent — 3 selections ・ 7 bets (3 Singles + 3 Doubles + 1 Treble)

What it is: Full cover with singles. One winner can return something.

Lines7
Min winners for return1 (from a single)
Yankee — 4 selections ・ 11 bets

Bets included: 6 doubles + 4 trebles + 1 fourfold (no singles).

Min winners for return: 2.

Lucky 15 — 4 selections ・ 15 bets

Bets included: 4 singles + 6 doubles + 4 trebles + 1 fourfold.

Why use: Singles cushion variance; good each-way option.

Canadian / Super Yankee — 5 selections ・ 26 bets

Bets included: 10 doubles + 10 trebles + 5 fourfolds + 1 fivefold.

Lucky 31 — 5 selections ・ 31 bets

Bets included: 5 singles + 10 doubles + 10 trebles + 5 fourfolds + 1 fivefold.

Heinz — 6 selections ・ 57 bets

Bets included: 15 doubles + 20 trebles + 15 fourfolds + 6 fivefolds + 1 sixfold.

Lucky 63 — 6 selections ・ 63 bets

Bets included: 6 singles + 15 doubles + 20 trebles + 15 fourfolds + 6 fivefolds + 1 sixfold.

Super Heinz — 7 selections ・ 120 bets

Bets included: 21 doubles + 35 trebles + 35 fourfolds + 21 fivefolds + 7 sixfolds + 1 sevenfold.

Goliath — 8 selections ・ 247 bets

Bets included: 28 doubles + 56 trebles + 70 fourfolds + 56 fivefolds + 28 sixfolds + 8 sevenfolds + 1 eightfold.

High line count — check your total stake (lines × stake × 2 if EW).

Tip: Our Bet Calculator handles all the above, including Each-Way, Rule 4 and dead-heats.

⚽ Football Betting Markets & Multiples

Accumulator (Acca) ・ Doubles, Trebles, Fourfold+

What it is: One line across 2+ selections (matches/markets). All legs must win for a payout.

  • 90 mins only: Unless stated, extra-time & pens don’t count.
  • Voids: Leg removed (decimal 1.00).
Example: 4-fold acca, £5 stake, decimals 1.80 × 1.95 × 2.10 × 1.70 → return = £5 × 12.51 = £62.55.
BTTS (Both Teams To Score)

What it is: “Yes” wins if both teams score in 90 mins. “No” wins if at least one team fails to score.

  • Extra-time: Not included unless specified.
  • Combos: Commonly combined with match result (BTTS & Win).
Example: BTTS Yes at 10/11 (1.91). £10 stake → £19.10 return.
Over / Under Goals (e.g., Over 2.5)

What it is: Totals market based on match goals.

  • Over 2.5: 3+ goals to win. 0–2 goals = loss.
  • Under 2.5: 0–2 goals to win. 3+ = loss.
  • Lines like 2.0 or 2.25: See Asian totals below.
Draw No Bet (DNB)

Home/away wins pay; a draw refunds the stake.

Double Chance (1X / 12 / X2)

Back two outcomes at once (e.g., Home or Draw). Lower odds, higher hit-rate.

Correct Score

Predict the exact score at 90 mins. High variance; consider small stakes.

Both Teams To Score & Win

Team must win and both teams must score. Two conditions; priced higher than either alone.

Asian Handicap (AH) & Asian Lines

What it is: Handicaps and totals that can push or split stakes across two lines.

  • Whole lines (e.g., -1.0): Win by 2+ to cash; win by exactly 1 = push (stake returned).
  • Half lines (e.g., -0.5): No push; behaves like DNB for -0.5/0.5 style outcomes.
  • Quarter lines (e.g., -0.25 / +0.25): Stake split across -0.5 and 0.0; can half-win/half-push.
Example: AH -0.25 at 1.90, £20 → half at -0.5, half at 0.0. If draw: half lost, half refunded → net -£10.
European Handicap

Three-way handicap (Home / Draw / Away) with the handicap applied. No pushes.

Player Props (Goals, Shots, Cards)

Anytime/First goalscorer, shots on target, bookings, offsides, etc. Check settlement rules (own goals, unused subs).

Bet Builders / Same Game Multi

Combines multiple legs within one match (e.g., Over 2.5 + BTTS + Player Shots). Prices account for correlation — expect higher margin.

Cash-Out (bookmaker discretion)

Bookmakers may offer a live “Cash-Out” value. It’s optional and not guaranteed; value can be poor in volatile games.

Remember: 90-minute settlement is standard unless the market says otherwise. Always read market rules in the bet slip.

📒 Key Rules & Glossary (applies across markets)

Each-Way (EW) explained

EW bets split your stake between a win part and a place part at a set fraction (e.g., 1/5, 1/4, 1/3) and a set number of places. A “win” pays both parts; a “place only” result pays the place part.

Rule 4 (R4) deductions

Applies in racing if a runner is withdrawn after prices are set. A percentage is deducted from the winnings part of affected bets according to the withdrawn horse’s price band.

Dead-Heat

When two (or more) tie for a placing, returns are divided by the number of tied runners for that place on the relevant part (win/place).

Voids & Non-Runners

Voided legs in multiples settle as 1.00 and the rest continue. Non-runners in racing are typically void (check EW terms for place adjustments).
