🐎 Today’s Daily Trio selections

Scandinavia simply has to be the bet in the St Leger at Doncaster, 3:40. Last year’s winning jockey Sean Levey rides stablemate Lambourn – the Derby winner – which is helping to keep the price attractive for our selection. Scandinavia is a fast improving son of Justify and I see no negatives – I’d argue he should be a shade of odds on. Tom Marquand is a capable jockey, and Scandinavia has the tactical speed and stamina needed to win this.

Montreal is for some strange reason a 2/1 shot to best his 10/11 stablemate Benvenuto Cellini. Benvenuto Cellini did show promise last time don’t get me wrong and has a chance, but Montreal looks by far the better prospect in my opinion. Montreal is an improving son of Sea The Stars and there are good races to be won with this horse. The 3:20 at Leopardstown looks a straight match up between the pair.

January has a fantastic chance in the 4:25 at Leopardstown. This Kingman filly will win group 1’s, and there really shouldn’t be as much of a price gap as there is between Fallen Angel (the race favourite) and our selection. The cheekpieces go on to sharpen her up, which isn’t a negative here. I expect January to win the Matron stakes.
