🐎 Today’s Daily Trio selections

Thankuappreciate (4:37 Southwell) was slowly away last time out when sixth at Catterick but can be forgiven that run. Three wins from thirty six runs isn’t a strike rate to shout about but this looks a realistic chance to get a win on the board. The rivals aren’t anything special and assuming the horse gets away on level terms it has to have a strong chance.

Arkinthestars ran well to be second at Goodwood when last seen and today looks a realistic opening in what will be a small field tactical affair. I am surprised that Karl Burke’s horse isn’t shorter in the betting and expect a bold showing in the 3:13 at Hamilton.

Spirit of Applause hasn’t won for a while now, last victorious in October last year, but holds a good chance in the 5:07 at Southwell. I thought he was an eye catcher last time out when fifth at Beverley as he looked beaten a long way from home but rallied and finished the race very strongly. It might be nearing his turn, and I’ll be backing him to win for Tim Easterby.
