Tuesday 10th March 2026 | Cheltenham Festival Daily Horse Racing Tips – The Daily Trio
🐎 Today’s Daily Trio selections
3:20 – The Ultima
The two McManus horses Jaguar and Iroko are the two at the top of the betting. Iroko is by miles the better animal of the two and yet, at the time of writing, Jaguar is 10/3 whilst Iroko is 11/2. Madness. I’m all over Iroko here, even with top weight. My concern is another in the hoops — Johnnywho — who, if returning to form, could pose a threat, but the money is down for me on Iroko.
4:00 – Champion Hurdle
Two-time Mares’ Hurdle winner and three-time Festival winner Lossiemouth will take the majority of the money and go off short-price favourite, but she isn’t for me this time. I don’t know how she will react to first-time cheekpieces, and I think she is better over two and a half miles at a slower pace. The New Lion is my idea of the Champion Hurdle winner, and I fancy Dan Skelton’s horse to win it very comfortably. Happy Birthday JP!
5:20 – National Hunt Challenge Cup Novices’ Handicap Chase
I tried for quite a while to find a big-priced runner in this race, but the more I looked the more I was convinced that Backmersackme would win it. He has good course experience and won a large-field chase at Leopardstown last time out. What swung it for me is that I think this horse will improve massively for this step up in trip. I’m not sure any of the others will.
Daily Trio selections:
Iroko – The Ultima
The New Lion – Champion Hurdle
Backmersackme – National Hunt Challenge Cup

Daily Trio Strategy
What is the Daily Trio strategy?
Our proven betting system is three singles and a treble. As a simple guide:
2 winners = profit
3 winners = jackpot
It’s a sustainable way to have a bet every day while keeping the chance of a nice win alive. The key is holding our own with the bookies until we land the day where all three go in — and the treble lands.
Why & how does the Daily Trio strategy work?
- ~33% strike rate across the year (~1 in 3 winners).
- Singles are designed to hold stake over time.
- Profit kicker comes from the treble — that’s the maths working for us.
Suggested staking example
(total stake £30) — but the choice is yours.
We use the £30 stake for profit/loss calculations. Bet responsibly.
