???? Today’s Daily Trio

Overview: Desert Shadow was a 3/1 winner for us yesterday to keep the bank balance going, although he was subsequently demoted to second by the stewards. What a ridiculous decision, but we get paid either way. Hopefully we can hit the target with two or three today. Calafiori (2:22 Brighton) really should finally win today but the price is likely to be short so he doesn’t make the final list.

???? Jockey insight: Ben Jones is the jockey to follow at Worcester with the best level stakes profit. He rides two: Just Chasing May (2:10) and Richieandsamslady (3:40).

???? One to Note: David Egan has a fantastic level stakes profit at Brighton and goes for one ride: Hollywood Treasure (4:00).

⚠️ Traveller: John Hanlon sends one over the Irish Sea today: Penzance in the 3:40 at Worcester.

???? Profit Stat: Ben Pauling is the trainer to follow at Worcester. He teams up with jockey Ben Jones for one today: Just Chasing May (2:10).

???? Today’s Daily Trio selections

Christmas Day could come early as Aidan O’Brien sends the horse to take on the better fancied stablemate Endorsement in the 2:30 at Tipperary. Endorsement is slight odds on at the time of writing but I much prefer the chances of Christmas Day to cause a minor upset. Christmas Day is a 450,000 Camelot colt and had a nice introduction when third at Galway last month. I can see huge improvement and he is one for the trackers irrelevant of what happens today.

All the stats point to Just Chasing May having a great chance in the 2:10 at Worcester. Today is the horses chase debut so we need to hope for a good round of jumping but the engine is certainly there and this is a low quality race and we know he likes Worcester having won over hurdles here a few months back.

Carlton has looked regressive in recent starts over jumps but today is a golden opportunity to regain the winning thread. James Owen’s horse is fit from the flat and should improve for the step up in trip today (4:40 Worcester). He has Cinderello as the main rival but ours is rated 93 and the race favourite Cindarello is rated 78. Class should tell.
