Kickthebookies is the analytical layer of horse racing — the statistics, prices and records behind every race, shown plainly so you can make your own call. This page is the site’s terms of use. Today’s racecards

These terms govern your use of kickthebookies.com and everything on it. By using the site you agree to them. The plain-English summary: the site gives you information to make your own decisions; it is not advice and not a tipping service; you must be 18 or over; you may use what we publish for yourself but not copy it in bulk or resell it; bookmakers are separate businesses with their own terms; and our responsibility to you is limited in the ways the law allows, and no further.

1. Who we are

Kickthebookies (kickthebookies.com, “the site”) is operated by Kickthebookies Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16740091, business address 66 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NA (“we”, “us”). Contact: mav@kickthebookies.com.

2. Age and eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the site. Betting is for adults, and so is a site about betting. If you are under 18, do not use the site. Where the law of the place you live sets a higher age for gambling, that age applies to you.

3. What the site is, and is not

  • Information, not advice. The site publishes statistics, prices, records and our own figures (the KTB Fit Score, KTB Rating and KTB Speed, and fair A/E — actual wins against what the prices expected, with the bookmaker’s margin removed) so that you can make your own decisions. Nothing on the site is a recommendation to place a bet, financial advice, or a prediction that any outcome will happen.
  • Not a tipping service. Where a selection or a rating appears, it is the output of a published method shown with its record, win or lose. It is evidence for you to weigh, not an instruction.
  • No guarantee of results. Past performance of any horse, trainer, jockey, method or figure is no guarantee of future results. Betting involves the risk of losing money. Any bet you place is your decision and your responsibility.
  • Not a bookmaker. We do not take bets, hold your money or offer gambling. We are not licensed by the Gambling Commission and do not need to be: we provide information and links.

4. Acceptable use

You may use the site for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:

  • scrape, crawl, bulk-download or systematically extract the site’s data, figures, pages or archive, by hand or by software, beyond what an ordinary visitor does when reading pages;
  • republish, resell, syndicate or redistribute our content or figures, or build a product or dataset from them, without our written permission;
  • interfere with the site’s operation, security or caching, probe or test it for vulnerabilities, or place an unreasonable load on it;
  • misrepresent our figures as your own, or present any part of the site as a tip or a recommendation from us;
  • use the site for anything unlawful, or where you are not permitted to.

Search engines and AI assistants may read and index the site in the ordinary way; our robots.txt says what is allowed. A short quotation with a link to the page it came from is always fine.

5. Our content and data

The site’s design, text, code, figures with a KTB name, the arrangement of its data and its archive belong to Kickthebookies Ltd or are used under licence. Race records, form and results originate from official sources and are supplied to us under licence by a racing data provider; prices originate from the bookmakers. Your use of the site does not give you any right to any of it beyond reading it. “Kickthebookies”, “KTB” and the KTB mark are our names and marks.

6. Bookmakers and affiliate links

  • Bookmakers shown on the site are separate businesses. Any account you open and any bet you place with one is a contract between you and that bookmaker, on its terms. We are not a party to it and are not responsible for a bookmaker’s prices, payouts, offers, decisions or conduct.
  • Prices shown on the site are the prices the bookmakers published at the time shown. They move. Always check the price on the bookmaker’s own site before you bet; the price you get is the one the bookmaker offers you, not the one we displayed.
  • Some links to bookmakers are affiliate links. If you open an account through one, we may be paid a commission, at no cost to you. This never changes a figure we publish, which bookmakers we show, or the order we show them in. Our editorial policy says more.
  • If a bookmaker offer is ever shown on the site, its significant terms are shown with it, and the bookmaker’s full terms govern it.

7. Accounts

The site works without an account. When accounts open, these terms apply to them: you must give accurate details and keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what is done through your account; one account per person; we may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. How we handle your information is in our privacy policy.

8. KTB Pro (when it opens)

KTB Pro is a paid subscription that is not yet open. When it opens, the following will apply, and the price, the plan and any trial or founder terms will be shown before you pay:

  • Payment is taken by Stripe, our payment provider, on a recurring monthly or annual basis until you cancel. We never see or store your card details.
  • Cancelling is available at any time through the subscription portal linked from your account. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access to the end of the period already paid for.
  • Your right to cancel within 14 days. As a consumer you have 14 days from the day you subscribe to change your mind and receive a full refund. If you ask us to start the service immediately and you use it during those 14 days, we may deduct an amount for the part of the period you have used. Email us within the 14 days to cancel under this right.
  • Refunds beyond that right are not given for a period already started, except where the law says otherwise or where we have failed to provide the service.
  • Price changes are notified to you by email at least 30 days before they take effect, and you may cancel before they do.
  • What Pro is — more figures, depth and tools. It is still information, not advice, and sections 3 and 10 apply to it in full.

9. Availability and accuracy

  • We work hard to keep the site accurate and available, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Data arrives from third parties and can be late, incomplete or later amended; results are subject to official amendment; a figure can be wrong. Every number on the site shows the sample it rests on and when it was last updated, and where data is missing we say so.
  • If you find an error, tell us and we will correct it as soon as it is confirmed.
  • We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site at any time.

10. Our responsibility to you

  • Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to limit or exclude. If you are a consumer, nothing here takes away the rights the law gives you.
  • Subject to that, we are not liable for any loss arising from a bet you place, a decision you make, a price that moved, a figure that was wrong, data that was late or amended, or the site being unavailable. The site is information; the decisions, and their results, are yours.
  • If we are liable to you under these terms for the free service, our total liability is limited to £100. For a paid subscription, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
  • We are not liable for business losses. The site is for personal use.

11. Third-party sites

Links to other sites, including bookmakers, support organisations and data sources, are provided for convenience. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, terms or privacy practices.

12. Changes and ending use

We may update these terms when the site changes. The date below is updated each time, and a material change is announced on the site; a change to a paid subscription’s terms is notified by email before it applies. If you do not agree with a change, stop using the site, or cancel your subscription before it takes effect. We may stop you using the site, or close an account, if you break these terms.

13. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except that if you live in Scotland, Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland you may also bring a claim in your own courts, and nothing here takes away any protection you have under the law of the place you live. If you have a complaint, email us first; we will try to resolve it within 14 days.
