Today in numbers · common questions
Answered from today’s selections, with the count and the time behind every figure.
- How many KTB Fit selections are there today?
- 47 selections — one per GB and Irish race scored, across 6 meetings; every race has been run. As at 23:38 UK time.
- How have today's selections done so far?
- 9 of the 45 selections settled so far have won; 2 came out as non-runners. Every selection is graded on the results page once its race is official, win or lose — a day's tally is a small sample; the record since August is the number to judge by. As at 23:38 UK time.
- How is a KTB Fit selection chosen?
- It is the highest KTB Fit Score in the race — a 0–100 rating of how well a horse fits today's race, built from six weighted factors (ability, trainer, jockey, going, course and a light read of the market). Ties are broken in a fixed order. It is a rating, not a tip: the strongest fit on the numbers, shown with its record.
- Which price is shown, and is it live?
- The best price across the bookmakers we track at the moment the page loads, refreshed while a selection's market is still open; the named bookmaker is the best at loading and can lag a moving price by up to two minutes. Prices change — check on the bookmaker's site. 18+.
- When do the selections go live, and do they change during the day?
- They go live with the day's racecard, once every runner's form is final, and they do not move: the score and the selection are frozen for the day. A selection that is withdrawn is marked a non-runner — the next horse is never quietly promoted.
